SCREENINGS

Premiere

23.04.2024

Join us for an exclusive first screening of Wind, Tide & Oar hosted by Royal Museums Greenwich. After the screening there will be a Q&A session with project collaborators Huw & Rose, followed by the launch of the accompanying "Wind, Tide & Oar" book. We will then celebrate with a drinks reception held on the Cutty Sark ship. Ticket includes free day entrance to the Cutty Sark and a tour around Thames sailing barge Blue Mermaid.

Sea Tour

26.04.2024 - 20.07.2024

Thames sailing barge Blue Mermaid is setting sail along the southeast coast to host free film screenings in ten historic ports. Crewed by youth and adult trainees, on arrival to each harbour Blue Mermaid will transform her cargo hold into a floating cinema, opening her hatches to welcome local audiences to see Wind, Tide & Oar. Those working in the project will hold a Q&A session afterwards, offering a truly unique experience that immerses audiences in the elemental seafaring life.

Land Tour

From July onwards Wind, Tide & Oar will be screening across the UK and beyond in a variety of venues on land, including film festivals, gallery exhibitions, cinemas and local sailing clubs. Watch this space, follow us on social media, and sign up to the newsletter for up to date information.
