Land Tour

July 2024 onwards

From July Wind, Tide & Oar will screen in film festivals, exclusive one-off preview screenings, and exhibits taking place around the UK and abroad.

In early 2025, the film will see its general theatrical release, when it will tour a variety of venues including cinemas, museums. galleries and local sailing clubs.

Cutty Sark Exhibit

23.04.2024 - onwards

Experience a short preview of Wind, Tide & Oar in the Cutty Sark's foc's'le, explore the accompanying book available at the museum shop, and discover exclusive material on the RMG website.

Sea Tour

26.04.2024 - 20.07.2024

The morning after the premiere the Thames sailing barge Blue Mermaid set sail along the southeast coast to host free film screenings in ten historic ports. Crewed by youth and adult trainees, on arrival to each harbour the ship transformed her cargo hold into a floating cinema, opening her hatches to welcome local audiences to see Wind, Tide & Oar. Those working in the project held Q&A session afterwards, offering a truly unique experience that immersed audiences in the elemental seafaring life.

Premiere

23.04.2024

Wind, Tide & Oar premiered at an exclusive event hosted by Royal Museums Greenwich. After the screening there was a Q&A session with project collaborators Huw & Rose, followed by the launch of the accompanying "Wind, Tide & Oar" book. Celebrations continued with a drinks reception, book signing and poetry readings held on the Cutty Sark ship. Ticket included free day entrance to the Cutty Sark and a tour around Thames sailing barge Blue Mermaid.
